Advantage Home Care

OVERVIEW

This project challenged me to enhance the reputation of Advantage Home Care and increase its visibility overall. With 20+ billboards and 12+ storefronts redesigned throughout Missouri and parts of Illinois, we aim to effectively raise the company's profile and expand its efforts in helping people across the country.

PROCESS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviewed the company's website and branding: Before starting any design work, I reviewed Advantage's current website and branding to ensure that my designs would align with the company's existing visual identity.

Conducted competitor research and discussed the client's requirements: I researched similar organizations and discussed with the client what they were looking for to gain a better understanding of their needs and expectations. In this case they wanted to highlight not only the benefits they offer for those needing caretakers, but also for the caretakers themselves.

Brainstormed and conceptualized: Using the insights gathered from my research and discussions, I brainstormed and came up with design concepts that aligned with the company's brand and messaging.​

Designed mockups: Once we had selected the most promising concepts, I created high fidelity mockups to fully grasp what the designs would look like in real life. This also included exporting the final designs and coordinating with printers to make sure everything ran smoothly.

CHALLENGES

One of the most significant challenges I faced with this project was finding a balance between visual appeal and conveying sufficient information. The owner was adamant about having text-heavy displays with bullet points highlighting the benefits for caretakers and those in need of care. As a visual designer, I had to find creative ways to present this information while still maintaining the overall aesthetic appeal of the displays. It required careful consideration of typography, color, and layout to ensure that the information was easy to read and understand without overwhelming the viewers. Ultimately, I was able to find a middle ground that satisfied both the owner's desires for information-heavy displays and my own goal of creating clean designs that captured the attention of the target audiences.
